- ➤ Mark Collins, owner of Evergreen Wholesale, sued the state in federal court after agriculture workers destroyed 32,000 healthy citrus plants at his Escondido nursery this week — he estimates his losses could reach up to $3 million. NBC San Diego
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The San Diego Regional Task Force on Homelessness will begin the annual Point-in-Time count this Thursday at 3:30 a.m. in Escondido, deploying 1,700 volunteers across over 50 sites to gather data (a federally mandated effort) that guides local funding and policy while election candidates monitor the process closely.
