- ➤ Ono Hawaiian BBQ is celebrating its grand opening today at 555 West Mission Ave with twenty-five $100 promo cards and buy-one-get-one-free offers at 12:30 p.m. A gas station at 2004 E-Valley Parkway was sold for $5,050,000 and will reopen after renovations in about six months. - ➤ A Women’s History Month exhibit featuring photographers Debe Arlook, Christina McFaul, and Michele Zousmer will open March 7 at The Photographer’s Eye Gallery in Escondido (326 E. Grand Ave.). The gallery will host an artists’ reception on March 14 at 5 p.m. Escondido Times-Advocate
- ➤ The Grand Tea Room will host Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy The Importance of Being Earnest from March 5 to March 22 during a high tea dinner theater production. - ➤ Música en la Plaza returns this season with free concerts in the Lyric Courtyard starting Friday, April 24 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. and running every last Friday of the month through September 25, featuring diverse Latin music acts with local food trucks + cocktails available for purchase. - ➤ San Pasqual High School has launched the Career Kickstart AP program that offers students hands-on work experience & personal finance lessons through local internships at diverse businesses. - ➤ On Feb. 26, the San Diego County Water Authority Board approved an MOU with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation + Metropolitan Water District to test a pilot program that shifts water from Carlsbad’s desalination plant to the Colorado River Basin.
