- ➤ We See You San Diego hosts weekly dinners at Grace Church in Escondido starting at 5 p.m. every Thursday, serving up to 200 people with a hot meal, dessert, and live music from the We See You band (volunteers provide essential clothing and hygiene kits). Escondido Times-Advocate
- ➤ Over 100,000 residents in North County areas, including Escondido, lost power on Thursday evening when outages began at 7:41 p.m. SDG&E expects power to return around 10:30 p.m. NBC San Diego
- ➤ More than 600 dogs and nearly 1,200 supporters gathered at Kit Carson Park on Saturday, Mar. 21 for the San Diego Humane Society's 27th Annual Walk for Animals North County which raised about $140,000 toward its goal. Escondido Times-Advocate

- ➤ Audiences dressed in pajamas join characters representing Kahlo, Dali, and Freud for a surreal art experience at California Center for the Arts Escondido (Studio 1). - ➤ Sunny Side Kitchen will open on Sundays starting April 12 with revised hours from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and ESCO Alley Art will unveil six new murals at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18 on the wall adjacent to the Escondido Creek Trail. Escondido Times-Advocate
- ➤ Friday, Apr. 3 and Saturday, Apr. 4, CCAE in Escondido invites the community to watch glass artist James Stone create live demonstrations in the Cal Club Courtyard. - ➤ County Supervisor Jim Desmond presented a three-part plan to help youth sports groups by offering AED vouchers, installing outdoor AEDs at eight parks, and launching a public awareness campaign.
