- ➤ On Monday, a 5.2 earthquake shook San Diego County and SDSU scientists said they discovered new fault lines, underwater landslides and tsunami triggers during a 12-day cruise aboard the Sally Ride. The study, begun two years ago more than 90 miles off San Diego’s coast, warns that coastal areas could face dangerous tsunami risks though no damage or injuries were reported. NBC San Diego
