- ➤ Native American tribes celebrated indigenous culture on April 19 at Grape Day Park in Escondido — the first Southern California Indigenous Culture and Art Festival featured live dance, song and storytelling — and the event was organized by the San Pasqual Band with the city approving nearly $72,000 to cover most costs, with plans for future festivals.
