- ➤ The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office increased patrols near fertility clinics Monday after a deadly bombing occurred Saturday at a Palm Springs clinic — the blast killed suspect Guy Edward Bartkus, injured four others, and all embryos remained safe as local Escondido officers stayed alert. - ➤ San Diego County Tax Collector Dan McAllister sent 41,032 notices to property owners who have not paid their full 2024-25 taxes, warning that unpaid bills will go into default on July 1 and incur a $33 redemption fee plus a 1.5% penalty each month if not paid by June 30—adding up to an 18% annual fee.
