🏘️ Community
On May 28 the San Diego Humane Society took in 41 pets — 28 dogs, six puppies, four cats, two kittens and one chameleon — after officers responded to a call from an Escondido home with too many animals; the pets are now receiving medical and behavioral evaluations before they are spayed, neutered and prepared for adoption.
🌲 Environment
Domenic Biagini of Gone Whale Watching captured a rare moment when blue whales socialized off San Diego during a full-day tour, and his drone footage was featured in NBC’s documentary The Americas—showing behavior never seen before— as tours remain fully booked this season.
Nature lovers have a unique chance to see these majestic creatures along the migration route.
