- ➤ On June 2, the Metropolitan Water District and the San Diego County Water Authority ended a 15-year legal dispute over water exchange pricing—settling on a fixed price starting at $671 per acre-foot in 2026 to reduce litigation and improve fiscal stability. The agreement also allows the Water Authority to offer water to other agencies and calls for a review every five years to ensure smooth implementation. The Vista Press
- ➤ At today's Board of Supervisors meeting, Supervisor Jim Desmond called for immediate federal action to stop toxic sewage from Mexico that closed Coronado beaches on Memorial Day and made residents and Navy SEALs sick. He is introducing a resolution that will require SANDAG to pursue toll revenue, push trade restrictions, and declare an emergency to protect public health. The Vista Press
