  • Thor, a new machine that aids commercial composting by pulling food waste from plastic bags to separate organics into compost, had its ribbon cutting recently and received support from Legoland & the Padres to help meet Senate Bill 1383 requirements.  CBS8

SPORTS NEWS

  • Manny Machado led the Padres to a 3-2 win over the Giants on Tuesday night with a two-run single in the ninth and Jake Cronenworth driving in the go-ahead run —a key hit that shifted the game’s momentum—. The Padres had won a 1-0 series opener on Monday —the limited scoring that set up their rally— and rookie Ryan Bergert made his major league start.  NBC San Diego
