- ➤ Jose Iglesias came off the bench to drive in the winning run in the 8th inning on Sunday afternoon at Petco Park, lifting the Padres to a walkoff win by a score of 3 to 2. All-Star centerfielder Jackson Merrill returned from the 7 day concussion injured list (while Brandon Lockridge was sent down to Triple A) to help clinch the series victory that was their first since early June.
