CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A woman in San Marcos fought off 41-year-old Adolfo Brito when he broke into her home on Grand Avenue on July 8 and forced her to undress and sexually assault her—Brito was arrested on Tuesday on Park Center Drive in Vista and now faces charges of burglary, robbery, assault with intent to commit a felony, assault with a deadly weapon and grand theft. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The California State Senate passed Assembly Bill 379 with a 33—2 vote making it a felony for adults to solicit sex from teens more than three years younger, and the bill now goes to Governor Newsom for his signature. The law also increases jail time and adds a $1,000 fine that will go into a Survivor Support Fund for trafficking victims. CBS8

- ➤ San Diego FC and Escondido native Milan Iloski mutually ended his loan early Tuesday after he scored 12 goals in 15 appearances and helped push the team to first place in the Western Conference—he will return to FC Nordsjælland under a contract through 2027. NBC San Diego
