- ➤ San Diego County canceled its contracts with the Harm Reduction Coalition that provided millions of dollars to distribute naloxone and test street drugs, and investigators began reviewing the organization’s management as its founder returned to street work. Supplies dropped from 8,000 to only 240 doses—authorities are now working with partners to ensure the public still has access to the life-saving drug. NBC San Diego
- ➤ Today, the City of Escondido announced Ken Plunkett as its new Chief of Police following a competitive recruitment process.
