GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Local leaders and community groups called for safety improvements on SR 67 after a series of deadly crashes (including a three-car crash on July 18 near Iron Mountain Drive and an accident near Quail Rock Road) raised concerns about the highway. Caltrans has invested over $60 million in safety projects and will spend $37.5 million over the next 6 years to add lanes (from Lakeside to Ramona) to improve emergency evacuation routes.
