CRIME NEWS

  • Escondido police arrested Kandilaria Freeman on August 16th for the murder of an adult man who was found bleeding at the Transit Center at 700 W Valley Pkwy—officers responded quickly, provided first aid, and fire paramedics transported the victim to Palomar Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, and Freeman, a 33-year-old San Diego resident, was booked on murder charges and placed on a no bail hold for a probation violation.  Escondido Times-Advocate
  • Families in Escondido reported that three memorials along Broadway and Country Club Lane were vandalized—flowers, crosses and lights were removed and damaged—and they plan to install cameras to prevent future incidents.  NBC San Diego
