- ➤ San Diego Planning Commission approved the Harmony Grove Village South project that will build 453 homes with one evacuation route—neighbors voiced safety concerns given past fire risks. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A new report from the San Diego County Substance Use and Overdose Prevention Taskforce shows that overdose deaths dropped 21% in 2024—from 1,203 in 2023 to 945—while racial disparities persist with Black residents facing rates more than double the county average.
