Good morning, Escondido. Here's your local news at a glance for Thursday, the 11th of September.

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • San Diego county supervisors approved a plan to remove a major pollution center from the Tijuana River, study its economic and health impacts, and hire an advocate in Washington D.C.—the decision came after a lengthy meeting with 52 speakers and a unanimous vote from all five members. The board will later vote on the budget as efforts continue to address the river's contamination affecting residents.  NBC San Diego

HEALTH NEWS
