- ➤ The Canopy Grove Garden Club held its first fundraising event on November 2 at Canopy Grove by Wedgewood in Escondido and raised over $500 from a silent auction, direct donations, and food vending. The community-run nonprofit plans more events to reach a $25,000 goal for a design plan to build a community garden, public orchard, and hydroponic farm. The Vista Press

- ➤ On November 1, over 1,500 cyclists rode on Highway 101 for the Bike the Coast event that passed through beach towns and ended at Oceanside Pier—where a festival with live music and donations for Bike MS took place—welcoming riders of all ages. The Vista Press
- ➤ San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. won his 2nd Gold Glove award as the best defensive right fielder in the National League this weekend. He joined a small group of Padres outfielders who have won multiple awards — including Tony Gwynn, Dave Winfield, Steve Finley, and Trent Grisham. NBC San Diego
- ➤ The San Diego Seals have partnered with Point Loma Nazarene University to introduce data analytics to lacrosse and have already started testing the system during training camp.
