💼 Business
Some San Diego restaurants already began refusing pennies after the U.S. Mint stopped production last month—Matcha Cafe Maiko co-owner John Tran grabbed his last supply and will round cash totals to the nearest nickel when they run out.
Several chains plan to change their cash policies soon by rounding totals up or down when exact change is not available.
Vista's local fulfillment company ShipLab will ship between 15,000 and 20,000 online orders on Cyber Monday—more than four times its usual daily volume.
Founder Jake Brenner said the company grew from a small 900-square-foot warehouse to 275,000 square feet to support many online brands.
